New World Design does a lot of work for a great number of clients in a variety of industries.   We would be glad if we could tell about all of the things that we are doing, but due to the sensitive nature of some of the projects we are working on (e.g. projects involving computer security, or cutting edge technology projects for publicly traded firms) we can't.   We take very seriously the trust and responsibility that our clients have in us, and we are understandably reluctant to discuss details in these situations.

A few of our clients are privately held, or are public charities, and are very happy to have us talk about what we do for them.   We have tried to select a broad range of projects the we are working on for our most interesting clients as representative of the kinds of work we do.

Here is a partial listing of some of those clients that New World Design is currently working on projects for:

Current Projects for Some of Our Clients

Best Petroleum, a regional petroleum company based in New England, has engaged a consultant from New World Design to work on transitioning off of their existing private label retail credit card system, to a new modern system developed using Microsoft Windows technologies.  Best Petroleum owns a group of thirty petroleum filling stations that provide both retail and fleet based services.  As part of this effort, the existing Windows NT based network infrastructure has been replaced with up-to-date systems based on Windows Server 2003.

Caithness Energy in New York City has engaged consultants from New World Design to work on assisting in the migration of their IT infrastructure to Windows 2000 and the latest Microsoft communications products.   Caithness Energy specializes in power-project development and geothermal resource exploration around the world.   In cooperation with another consulting organization, New World Design also provides support for Caithness' international network that connects them with electric power facilities all over the planet via the Internet.   As part of this effort, a consultant from New World Design is working with Caithness Energy on implementing a state-of-the-art network management system using a series of open-source tools.

NMS Communications of Framingham, Massachusetts  called New World Design to implement an automated network monitoring solution that would allow them to improve service, while reducing costs and headcount.  A consultant from New World Design implemented a solution that integrated several open source solutions into an easy to manage and expandable platform that also integrates with their pre-existing proprietary management tools from other vendors.  NMS Communications provides telecommunications companies with solutions that let them offer their wireless and wireline customers improved service, and to be able to also offer new revenue generating services based on cutting edge technologies, like voice recognition, echo cancellation, and bandwidth compression.

The Saxton Group, Ltd. in New York City has an agreement in place with New World Design to provide for all of their technology needs, from support of their IT and networking needs to a complete redesign of their web site.   The Saxton Group, Ltd. provides public relations, event management, and marketing services to a diverse group of clients that has included Donald and Ivana Trump, Hiram Walker and Sons, the Waldorf Astoria Hotel, American Express, the March of Dimes, Versace, Maybelline, and the Royal House of Windsor.   Led by Catherine P. Saxton, who has created and managed numerous successful publicity events, and marketing projects  --  the Saxton Group has the capabilities to organize perfect publicity for your organization worldwide.

TEAMworks of Hannover, Germany is using consultants from New World Design to assist them in migrating there products to support additional J2EE platforms, such as BEA WebLogic.  As part of this effort, New World Design is providing feedback to TEAMworks developers about additional ways their products can leverage the unique capabilities of each of the J2EE platforms that their products are running on.  TEAMworks has developed a line of software that lets pharmaceutical companies access real-time data about their clinical trials, and shortens the overall time-to-market for new drugs in development.
